Treating your home during construction is referred to as pre-treating or a termite pre-treatment. Placing a barrier of termiticide between your building and the soil where the termite colony is located will discourage termites from attacking your structure. Soil Pre-Treatment

This type of treatment involves injection the soil with a diluted liquid termiticide.  Soil treatments create a barrier around a structure that either kills or repels termites that come in contact with the treated soil.

Crawl-Space Encapsulation
